Memorial Ceremonies

A religious memorial ceremony has two forms. Either special Hymns of the Orthodox Church are sung (this ritual is called “trisagio”) at the grave of the deceased, or can this ceremony take place in the church after the Liturgy.

A “trisagio” ritual is conducted on the third and ninth day (measuring also the day of the death) after the death of a person.

A memorial pray is chanted after forty days, three months, six months and after a year from the death..

The memorial ceremony is considered to be of great significance for our religion.

The fortieth day memorial can take place according to your preference at the church of your parish or cemetery.

We faithfully conduct all customs of the Christian Orthodox Church from the beginning of the 20 th century.
